What we collect and why

When you buy something

Your name, email address, delivery address, billing address, phone number if you give one, and what you ordered. We need this to take the order, deliver it, and handle returns.

Lawful basis: performance of a contract with you. Keeping the record afterwards is a legal obligation, because tax law requires sales records to be kept.

We never see your card details. Payment is taken on Wix's checkout by their payment providers. Your card number does not reach us and is not stored by us.

When you join the newsletter

Your email address, and the date you signed up.

Lawful basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing us, and that is as easy as giving it was.

When you contact us

Your email address and whatever you put in the message. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.

When you browse

The site sets a cookie to remember what is in your bag. Without it the bag empties on every page. That one is strictly necessary for the site to work, so it does not need your permission and you cannot turn it off.

There is no advertising, analytics or profiling cookie on this site at the time of writing.

Who else handles it

• Wix. Hosts this site, runs the checkout, and stores the orders and the contact list. Wix acts as our processor.
• Payment providers engaged through Wix, who process the payment itself.
• Delivery carriers, who receive the name and address needed to deliver your parcel and nothing else.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Some of these providers operate outside the UK. Where data is transferred outside the UK it is protected by the safeguards required by UK data protection law, such as International Data Transfer Agreements or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

• Order records: six years after the end of the tax year the order falls in, because tax law requires it.
• Newsletter address: until you unsubscribe.
• Emails you send us: up to two years, then deleted.

Your rights

Over your own data you can ask us to:

• give you a copy of it
• correct it if it is wrong
• delete it, where we have no obligation to keep it
• restrict or object to what we do with it
• send it to you or another provider in a portable form
• stop using it for marketing, which we will always do on request

If you are not happy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
